Jenna girl has been coming to see me for a long time! 

 

You might recognize her from the websites and walls through the years...........she is always a joy to photograph, not only because she knows how to work it...hehehehe.. but because she just tickles me to death with her Jenna-isms... hehehehe.... ALWAYS something delightful I want to write down and remember!!! But THIS DAY...shewie!!! Jenna was acting all 13 on me... (I knew she was advanced but HEllo!)

and was a wee bit harder to tie down to the floor!!  I heard she got sick by the birthday day a couple of days later, so maybe that bug was already in her ear or something.. hehehehe... but she managed to give me a good 30 or more images to use! Love ya Jenna!!! 

And her brother Tyler..........

I have had the pleasure of photographing since he popped out of the womb!! ;O)) He has always been the little wiggly squiggly one we had to work with... but this day Tyler was ON Man!!!!!!!! whoohooo!

We got some great stuff!! 

One of my favorite two year olds came in next. I usually see him sprinkled through the year.. coming in to our Quick n painless days!! I love that... I LOVE my babies.. and this gives me more chances to see them growing and pinch their sweet little baby fat legs hehehehehe.... but now sob... he is all big and grown up on me..

we got a new little baby clubber into the family fold recently! 

Grant is now a Big brother!!!

This totally cracked me up.. he was following miss cupcakes orders.. to go in and lay his head down on the baby, and that brother just UP AND SMACKED him in the face...

and then Grant goes.. I WANT TO SEE! hehehehe.. he was quite tickled that I got a picture of him getting Hit by the baby! heheheh!

And now tears come........boo hooo....

another baby clubber turns One and graduates out!! boohoooo!!!!  I went over to his house (conveniently located IN my neighborhood.. so I walked off a couple calories on my way... *BONUS!* hehehehe.... and we played in his "crib" for the last session!

When I got there, he was having some lunch!  yumo! Then he showed me his room.....

and after we ran ourselves ragged in the playroom and tried to get him to lay with his growth item..hahahahaha snort.....

we went down to have a Cupcake !!!

I looove this wall in their kitchen... makes me want to get a wall of wallpaper just to use in the studio...

  He looks so SWEET.... Happy Birthday Grayson!!!

All of you wonderful friends/customers................. I LOVE YOU!!!! Thank you!!!!! My mom is home, and .................... THEY ARE NOT DOING CHEMO anymore!!!!!!!!! That is the best news I have ever heard!!!!!!
I have not been sleeping for three days... just thoughts running though my head.. " Would I do this in my 70s... would I just say FORGET quality of life and ohmy I might die of a cold????" I just couldnt wrap my head around it.............. why were they making her SO sick.. when she really has so little (in the grand scheme of things) so little life to live!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But mom called tonight and she is home from the hospital and they are done with chemo!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I let her know that if she gets sick like this again I am kidnapping her and keeping her all to myself, instead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will not let my momma go over a cold. I just wont!

Listen..............I have a proposal... my moms birthday is next week. If you could......... would you please SNAIL MAIL ME (you know. post office.. ) OR DELIVER TO ME... a birthday card for my momma, so she knows how many of you care about her and are helping to make her better??  Her name is Judy. I'll collect them and overnight them to her on her birthday. its the 20th... so we need to work fast................

Big kids

So its not ALWAYS just a bunch of little kids coming over to play at Cupcakes.... My friend April had a great idea a week or so ago to get some updated pictures of herself and her sisters... so she booked an appt.  Now .. Im ALWAYS a little uneasy when a Group of Women book.. hahahaha.. obviously!!!!!!!!!  Helloooo !!But When one of the sisters started emailing me these fun hilarious ideas.. I was super excited to meet them... but i had to make ONE thing clear... 4 women were NOT jumping on my couch (or OFF) at the same time! hahahah!  even though it SOUNDED like a fun idea!  But we managed to get in a few fun things... like Skip bo..

which was always their favorite thing to do together!

 I'm told April likes to cheat...

but what can I say, I have a few "rules" of my own in the game that suit me too! hehehehe!

 Of course we HAD to get a regular picture in there too for good measure...

and then even tho it was FREEZING outside we went out and re -created an old Beatles pose....

Arrrgh! Bob called my moms house tonight to give her a shout.. and we got voice mail ... which is not right for the time of day we called. Harry called me back a few minutes ago and let us know that Mom is back in the hospital again (as of yesterday). She is not able to eat enough; her potassium levels are all messed up and she was having bigtime high blood pressure. (moms been plagued by that almost all of her adult life)
So............. if you have a minute can you send up your prayers, and pink bubbles and happy thoughts, so they can make their way down to Momma in Charleston and get her better. She really really wants to have a sweet valentines day night out with her husband on saturday... and she so needs that smile.

Need some models & a stool

In a couple of weeks (or less), I am going to need a few models for our some sets..... it quite possibly could end up being a weekday.... but more likely will be a sunday. Time is uncertain until I finish creating the three sets, but if you are flexible, and think you are interested, please email me asap!
I will forward you details on what you would need to wear for set, and the date as soon as I know it.

What I need:

A mom and child infant no older than 4 or 5 months
A mom and child 3 years-ish
A mom with children school age (two or more kids)

A newborn under two weeks old I have two.. but would love a younger one as back up... approx. 5 days old, if you guys can go ahead and have the baby for me .. that would be great! heheheheh!
Siblings from around 2 years to 7  (flexible older kid age) two kids preferably

3-4 year old

Please make sure your children are happy taking pictures before volunteering. Its not something we want to pressure anyone with.

Your "Pay" will be a 4x6 proof of your usable proofs.

ALSO ! Does anyone have a zebra print type stool or some other wild animal print that we could use for another set? I would need to borrow it for samples, and then again a few months from now for the actual day.  Let me know!

Urban mini sneak peek!

I know.. Urban mini session isn't until April.. but anytime is a great time to get on the schedule for one of those, so I here is a sneak peek of the location for you today!

implode with all the stress that is accounting!! (because if you know me at all.. you know Im not a
numbers person!  I see you nodding!!)

Anyhow.... Im really excited to do the Urban minis.... something different and fun!! and I know you
are curious to know WHERE we are doing them exactly too.... but Im not gonna say until then, hehehehe... besides you just would go Urban setting THERE? WHERE?  And while I KNOW Deep Elum is the best place to go.. Im just not familiar with that area enough to say "Here" and "HERE".. and be sure we could do what we needed to do.  I think my spots pretty sweet though!

Big ole' pile of sprinkles...

I know.. its so sad that I am still so behind in posting these!! And I still have MORE coming in every week... hehehehe... but I thought I might as well go and dump a big ole' pile on you today, to get you through the long drawn out day that a Tuesday is!  OK!

Babies were coming out all over in December... hehehe.. Go figure! (birthday of christ and all that...)
so we were having a good time in the studio trying to get babies to fall asleep in unusual ways!  This particular sweet holiday Gift took about an hour and a half!

 But SO totally worth it, no?

We started out with her sweet siblings......

Jack, you might recall is a graduate of our baby club. A lot of you have seen his sweet little hand on the baseball on the website.......he is SO sweet and tender with his new baby sister! 

And whats' not to love... LOOK at these toes!

I swear.. they are like ten tiny peices of sugar!!!!

And I LOVE her pose!!

she was so dear for me....allowing me to foldy her up all over the place (except for that present of course...hehehehe)

And when Mom pulled out this gorgeous hat...

I swooned!  So Dear... I swear ... makes you want to go do some breeding of your own.. doesnt it?

Another sweet sister came into the world that month too....

She was FABULOUS with her growth toy too... hehehe..

she FLAT out couldnt be posed on top, like we usually do, so I had to find her happy place..... Don't you love her name!?  (Everyone always asks me what my daughters name is.. Yes.. offically she is Emily.  But she answers to most of the time Emma, Em, E, and finally EMILY ELIZABETH !!!!!!!!!!   But Emma is my favorite.... )

 Its always nice for mom and dad to do a picture today with the new baby.

Yeah.. you are a family, but each baby deserves their own starring moment.... (as the baby of the family, myself.. and often left out, dang it, I demand it.. hehehehehe)  But what you can't see off camera is where the real story is...hehehehe.....

Someone is not quite ready to give up HIS role as the baby of the family apparently! hehehehe!

So.. on the "flip side" hehehehe...

I also had quite a lot of BIG kids coming in for pictures over the holidays.  I think I already showed you little sister... they were modeling valentines QP for us.... but Sister deserves her own post.. little miss Cheerleader this year!!

 This one has been a really sweetheart of one!

She has been smiley and sweet all through the year, and always full of fun accessories and outfits too!

 I love this picture.. it never gets old to me.

 What a better way to show what a year can do (or a day or a minute or even a second sometimes....)  Its also fun to revisit this every year after they grow up... one mom has been doing it for around 7 years.. she fogot it this year... but we forgive her!  She would bring in her daughters little growth photos from all the years and we sit her with them. So cute!  Its a reminder you know..........we forget how little they are sometimes.. like when they are 1/2 inch from your face screaming at you for having the audacity to ask them to clean their room, for instance... so this kinda of reminds you.
